Stuart Small

Stu Small is a passionate brewer and beer sommelier based in Yorkshire and London. When he's not brewing, Stu runs York Beer Tours, a range of beer tasting and food matching experiences in the historic City of York. Stu takes visitors on an exhilarating journey through the history of brewing in the region and hosts tutored tastings of Yorkshire's finest craft beer and real ale. Stu's presenting style is energetic but informative and accessible to all. Stu has crafted over 20 unique beers for his microbrewery ranging from experimental craft beers to a traditional mead, from personally foraged local ingredients. He also created a range of street beers for his local neighbourhood which went on to win the Great British High Street award in 2015. Stu has appeared on BBC Radio York, BBC Inside Out and The Apprentice as a beer expert. He has also judged beer competitions including the Champion Bottle Beer of Britain.
